While visiting Bear Mountain State Park, I noticed this rather grumpy looking tree bearing an uncanny resemblance to the attacking trees from the Wizard of Oz. See them here.

Beer Spa anyone?

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

This building has remained unchanged for almost a year since they put up the for rent sign. I figured it would eventually become a clothing boutique or perhaps a bar. Of course I never would have guessed that it would become a beer spa. (whatever that is!?) I guess I will have to go find out when it opens! {NY Shitty}

The P.A. Grocery store front has always been my favorite in Greenpoint, if not all of New York.? When I started photographing the area around Franklin Street for my project Turning Point last fall, I knew the area was changing at a rapid pace. Looks like the genericification of Greenpoint is well under way. RIP old store front, you brightened my day.

Two sided web

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

While visiting my family around New Orleans last week, I made an interesting discovery in a palmetto. I’m not sure what kind of spider it is, but its web was quite amazing.

Dexter, the sneeze-o-meter

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

My husband wrote an article for AM New York’s new pet feature, Petropolis, about our cat Dexter and his uncanny ability to predict a sneeze.? We always knew he was a star!
